Official language of Nepal is Nepali. As the country is multiethnic and culturally diversified there are numerous regional languages being spoken throughout Nepal. Sherpa, Tibetan, Tamang, Gurung, Newari, Bhojpuri, Maithli etc. are few examples of regional languages.
For foreigners commonly used language is English. In case tourists want their own language then there are various qualified language guides as well. Commonly available guides in third language are Spanish, Chinese, German, French, Russian, Indian, Korean and Malaysian. So, there won’t be any problem while communicating in Nepal.
The access of internet, mobile phones and pay phone in remote trekking regions also ensures smooth communication system in Nepal.
